  • RESURRECTED XANGANS*

    Gone but not forgotten, TRUE,
    Strange this cyber-LIFE
When keyboard clicks connect me to you
    Despite the PULSE of strife.

The tide comes in; the tide goes out,
    and Xangans disappear.
Should I leave, too?  Whence comes this doubt?
    Then Xangans reappear.

    Confusion, thrills, despondency,
    lead me round the mountain
    Till rather independently
I drink at some new fountain.

But one small isle in cyberspace,
    Xangaland remains
A place to find a friendly face
    Emerged from some new name.

*Dedicated to VeryModern’s stealthy visit and drifter’s observation therein.

  • I love your poems. And you can’t ever leave Xanga!! I love reading your updates! When are you coming back to Ohio? You gotta meet the twins now.

  • I’m so glad that the “core” of xangans I first learned to love this place with are mostly still around, even if you aren’t around as much as you used to be.

  • Inspiration will come when it comes.  No need to push it or despair in it’s absense.  Just don’t go and burn the book.

  • This was really nice.  Yes people have disappeared.  One of my favorites was a history teacher named Ron who is no longer to be found.  I do keep in touch with his sister-in-law now (ok not by law).  Anyway, very clever.  Yes I go to Myspace sometimes.  And I also have a dating site that I chat with people of both sexes.  But this place is still “home.”
