Can you guess the town pictured below?  I’ll add hints until someone guesses right and narrow it down by replying to comment-guesses.

  • somewhere in italy?

  • btw, you’d be glad to know my AAH post is up.

  • Brussels Belgium? At the big square with the flowers. LOL

  • Not Italy, not Belgium, but thanks for playing.  It is Europe.  Sorry I took so long to respond.  I was watching a movie with a friend.

  • Prague, Czech Republic.

I started out by trying to defuzz the words in the third photo… didn’t work out real well. I then chose to focus on what appears to be a church in the second picture.
It is a church, but I couldn’t find the english name for it… *shrug* I guess my non-existant Czech language skills are rusty.

  • Picture of the second photo that gave it away: http://tibu.smugmug.com/photos/61807238-M.jpg

  • oookay… the first picture is an astonomical/astrological clock (I can never keep those words straight) called “Orloj”. The second photo is the Church of Tyn. Alright. Im done now. Can you tell I had nothing to do. Onward to reading fiction.

  • I was gonna guess Prague, too.

  • Yep, those are indeed some famous scenes from Prague.  Thanks to all for playing.

  • Aw, man, I just missed it, and I was even gonna guess Prague, too. It was the astronomical clock that gave me the idea. Oh, well, maybe next time.

    Have a nice day!

  • Does anyone know Czech? I am almost betting that Orloj means literally “clock”… maybe its just the 3am thought process…

PS. I don’t really know why I took such interest in this contest… *shrug* Thanks for giving me something to do in the middle of the night that is almost surely pointless in the long run.
